Science asks for two things at once: new vocabulary and the math to use it. A student can understand what a mole is and still lose marks on every calculation, or handle the math and have no picture of what it describes.

What a lesson looks like
The tutor starts from the current unit. For a concept, expect diagrams and plain-language explanation; for a calculation, expect the tutor to watch your child set up the problem and correct the setup before the arithmetic. Have the class notes and the current assignment ready.
