Pricing and cancellations
Each tutor will set an hourly rate. You will pay for one lesson at a time, with no sign-up fee and nothing to subscribe to.
What a lesson costs
The price of a lesson is the tutor’s hourly rate for the length you choose. The rate is on the tutor’s profile and in search results, and the exact price is shown before you pay.

- No subscription, package or minimum number of lessons

If you cancel or move a lesson
You can do either yourself from the lesson page. The amount you get back is shown before you confirm, and the refund follows these rules without anyone having to approve it.

When a lesson does not happen as planned
- The tutor is not there
- Wait 15 minutes from the start time, then report the tutor as absent from the lesson page. You are refunded in full.
- You miss the lesson
- A lesson you booked and did not cancel is charged in full if you are not there 15 minutes after the start. The tutor kept that time for you.
- Something went wrong in the lesson
- Report a problem from the lesson page within 48 hours of the lesson ending. Our team looks at what happened and decides whether the lesson stands or is refunded in full. The tutor is not paid until that is settled.
Who takes the payment
AB Tutors is operated by Kprise LLC, which takes your payment and pays the tutor after the lesson. How you will pay will be added to this page before we open.

How much does a lesson cost?
Each tutor sets an hourly rate, shown on their profile and in search. The price of a lesson is that rate for the length you choose, and you see it before you pay.
Is there a subscription or sign-up fee?
No. Creating an account is free and lessons are paid for one at a time.
What if we need to cancel?
Cancel 24 hours or more before the lesson and you get all of your money back. Cancel later than that and you get 50% back. If the tutor cancels or does not turn up, you are refunded in full.
Can we move a lesson to another time?
Yes, until 24 hours before it starts.

Report a problem from the lesson page within 48 hours of the lesson ending. Our team looks at what happened and decides whether the lesson stands or is refunded.
